BACKGROUND AND COMMITMENT

With over 35 years of dedicated service in law enforcement and 12 years of honorable service in the United States Army, Wayne Jordan has built a career rooted in leadership, integrity, and commitment to protecting the people of Marion County.


Beginning his law enforcement journey as a patrolman in both South Pittsburg and Jasper, Wayne quickly earned a reputation for professionalism, sound judgment, and unwavering dedication to his community. His leadership and investigative skills led him
to serve as Chief of Detectives for the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, where he worked tirelessly to solve cases and deliver justice for victims and their families.


Throughout his career, Wayne has worn many hats — from SWAT Team Member to Chief of Police for the South Pittsburg Police Department — gaining firsthand experience in every aspect of law enforcement operations. He has also played a key role in interagency collaboration, serving on the Marion County 911 Board, the Drug Task Force, and the Drug Task Force Board, where his insight and commitment have helped strengthen community safety initiatives.

VISION

Wayne is passionate about serving the people of Marion County and believes the Sheriff’s Department must operate with integrity, fairness, and accountability. His vision is to lead a department that earns the trust of the community through transparency, professionalism, and a steadfast commitment to justice.


With decades of experience and a deep-rooted dedication to his hometown, Wayne is ready to lead Marion County into a safer, stronger future.
